Color Challenge #151

Okay, they did it to me again. Those SCS ladies picked colors that are tough for me. I received my new My Favorite Things "Bundles of Bouquets" today and had to use them. For the background I used my Yo Yo Yellow marker and drew stripes to try and look like wallpaper. The papers are YoYo Yellow, Basic Grey, Going Grey and Whisper White. The ribbon is the new grey ribbon by Stampin Up. Thank you for looking!

Stampabella Enablers

Those crazy ladies over at SCS and Pink Tulle and Feathers are getting me in a lot of trouble. I ordered my first Stampabella rubber last week and it came in the mail today. I had to do "something" with them. The Teachabella card was a combination of the SCS sketch challenge and color challenge. I had a really difficult time with these colors, but being the good "addict" that I am I had to play. The Pregabella card was made for one of my dear friends who looks very much like the gal on the card. The stars and sayings are from Verve Visual. Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a great day!

Sleepless in Colorado

It's 1:15 in the morning...can't sleep...visions of cards running through my head. This card is for the new sketch challenge over at SCS.

VSN Girls Night Out - Chocolate and Shoes

Addicted to Challenges

Did I say one challenge a week? Those ladies over at Splitcoast are evil :) They have forced me to create extra cards that I had no intention of making....
The "Fish Wish" card was made after I dug out a very old "Penny Black" stamp that I remembered I had and the Thank you card is for the most incredible, loving woman I know - my Mom. Thank you for looking and have a great day!

New Splitcoast Color Challenge

I'm determined to try at least one of the splitcoast challenges every week. This week's Color Challenge was more than a challenge - it was beyond my old brain's capabilities. I tried it anyway and this was the result. BTW, the colors are rose red, apricot appeal and sage shadow. I had never even opened my pkgs of apricot appeal and sage shadow. Obviously, not my favorite colors. Thank you for looking!

Split Coast Challenge Card

I decided to take the leap and start participating in some of the challenges over at splitcoast stampers. This is my first attempt using both the color challenge and the design challenge. The colors were Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou and Barely Banana. The design challenge was a kickstand card. Hope you enjoy!

And The Winner Is......

Julie S. Congratulations. Please send your address to my email address: lsadamsdance@msn.com and I will send your goodies out right away. Thank you all for participating and check back on Friday to see what the next candy will be.

Baby Boy Card

I made this card, along with the baby girl card, after going through my current boxes (many) of cards and discovering that I was sorely lacking in the baby card department. The glitter stack paper was run through my cuttlebug and the giraffe was watercolored using my Stampin Up ink pads. Hope you like it. I will try and post more this evening. I'm getting ready to take the boys sledding. Stay warm where you are!

Blog Candy!!!

I promised some of you that I would start having a drawing for blog candy once a week. My intention was to have it up and visible yesterday. However, to make a loooong story short, we received a Big snowstorm and I didn't get back from teaching dancing last night until almost midnight. In order to accommodate you, I will not draw for the giveaway until Monday evening. In order to enter, please reply to this post and make sure your email address is available. I will post the winner on Tuesday morning. I hope that you're having a GREAT weekend!

Baby Girl Card

Well here goes... my first card to be posted to my blog. Let me know if you like it. I made this card late last night. I stamped the bunny from A New Little Someone on watercolor paper. I watercolored using Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, and pixie pink. The pattern paper is from the glitter stack and I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the swirl embossing folder. What do you think?

First Time Snowboarders

On New Years Day I took my two boys, John (age 11) and Michael (age 8) to Sunlight Ski Resort where they took their first snowboard lesson. Uncle Bill spent the afternoon with them and took this picture. They had the time of their life and are hooked "Big Time." It was snowing too much for us to go today, but we're going to try and make it next weekend.

New Watermark

I'm so excited. I purchased a new watermark from Beth Silaika. I can't begin to tell you how incredibly AWESOME this woman is! She had watermarks designed for me within 30 minutes of me contacting her. Now I can safely post my cards here, without worrying about whether or not I'm in compliance with Stampin Up. Let me know what you think. I'm going to have her design my blog banner soon, so keep your eyes open for upcoming changes. Beth's information can be found at http://freckledfundesigns.blogspot.com. Take the time to check it out!!

Time to Get Going!!!

Well I guess it's about time that I get this blog going. I have had it for over two months and haven't done ANYTHING with it. The new year has arrived and I am determined to spend more time stamping. We'll see.... you know....best laid plans.....

I thought I would give a little background of how this blog got its name. I have a sign over my desk at work that says "Dance Yourself Silly." I teach west coast swing, ballroom, country/western and argentine tango dance lessons on Monday and Friday evenings and have taught dancing for over 20 years.

I have many hobbies that I am passionate about, one of which is rubber stamping. I became a Stampin Up consultant last year, but have not yet done anything with it. (Sounds like a pattern, kind of goes along with the blog activity.) I also knit, cross-stitch, quilt, needlepoint, and scrapbook. My husband thinks I have adult ADD, but I keep telling him I'm normal.

I've determined that it's going to be very interesting to see the direction this blog takes. Please be patient with me and my ramblings.
