Mother's Day Card
My Clinique Counter Manager came to me this morning and asked if it would be at all possible for me to make a Mother's Day Card to send to her mom. Well, me being me, and not knowing how to say "no, sorry", I said yes. So this evening I put this card together using all Stampin Up supplies, except the Offray ribbon. I used my markers to color the stamps and actually used my "test run" on the cards. Usually I make two or three attempts before I'm at all pleased. The stamp sets are All Year Cheer II and Thoughts and Prayers. Thank you for your continued support and all your comments. Have a great day!

Un-inked Stamps....
As a result of my move "six" months ago, I unearthed many a box of un-inked, un-mounted and un-packed stamps. I thought that possibly some of you could relate to this dilemma. I've spent the last few days cutting, mounting and indexing over twenty sets of these underloved stamps and still have a few to go. Thank goodness Stampin Up has made it so that you don't have to cut your stamps out before mounting them anymore. My cutting hand is very, very tired.Just a few of the ones I have left.
Baby Shower Invite
This card is being posted just a wee bit out of order in the sequence of "my life." This was the invitation to the baby shower that I made the diaper cake for many a post ago. I made over thirty of these to give to my employees as well as send to the people on Sarah's list. I thought it would make a cute congrats card or baby shower thankyou card as well. I used So Many Scallops from Stampin Up for the image. All of the supplies with the exception of the rhinestone stickers are SU. Thank you for all of your comments and have a great day!

Super Simple Oriental Thankyou Card
I was in a hurry and needed a thank you card so I threw this one together. I used a wood mounted oriental thank you from ???? and the remainder is from Stampin Up. I bought yards of the cord and tassels from Walmart way back when. I find that I like the simplicity of some cards more than others. I wasn't sure about this one so I made the next card using some origami paper that I had on hand along with the same wooden stamp.

Dance Thankyou
This was the second card I made for the mall manager. Both of these cards were a challenge as they were for twin girls, one of whom loves anything to do with dance and the other who is into showing horses. In going through my stamps I discovered I had nothing to do with horses and/or ballet. This is even more confusing as I teach partner dancing, including country/western. Go figure... On this card I attempted to make it look like a dance costume and versamarked the word dance on the pink strip. It's hard to see but there are little rhinestone stickers all over the dress. Thank you for your feedback and have a great day!
Western Thanks
This was a quick and simple thank you card I made last month. The mall manager where my store is located asked me to make her a few cards. The only problem was she needed them the next morning. I had to make them fairly quickly, therefore they are on the simple side. This one used all Stampin Up supplies with the exception of the boot stamp. I'm not sure which company made it as it is a very old wood mounted stamp with the words rubbed off. The window was punched with the SU label punch. Thank you for looking.

Baby Shower Cake
As some of you know, I manage the Beall's store in Glenwood Springs. My Estee Lauder counter manager is expecting her first child in three weeks and had moved recently to this area. I hosted a baby shower for her and had the employees from the store and friends of hers over on Saturday night. Never having held a baby shower before I looked to Splitcoast for ideas. I saw a picture of a diaper cake and decided that I would try and make one. Wow, this went together in about an hour and was a blast to make and even more fun to see the reaction of Sarah and the gals at the party. I wish I knew someone else who was pregnant so that I could make another one. It was definitely a hit and I only burned myself once with the hot glue gun when I glued the bottle to the top of the baby lotion in the center of the cake. Hope you enjoy looking and thank you for your comments.
Back From My Long Hiatus
Well, I knew it had been a while since I had posted something, but I had no idea it was well over a month. This picture was taken from my front porch a week ago. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and beautiful out. Springtime in the Rockies - never a dull moment. As to my absence, my laptop cord went out and I had to wait for one to be sent out from Dell. Then I had put my camera transfer cable in a "safe place". Tee Hee!!!! It's amazing how many places one might consider safe. I finally found it yesterday in the armoire/television cabinet in my bedroom. Go figure.. But.... I'm back and hopefully with a vengeance. I have downloaded over 40 new projects to my computer and hope to upload a few every day until I'm caught up.
