Masculine Friendship

I taught my Friendship Workshop tonight and had one lady ask if she could make her set in purple. Of course, no problem since she asked me a few days ago. About 30 minutes before class I decided that I needed to make a few more samples using the Vintage Vogue stamps to illustrate how versatile this set could be. I created the above masculine card using Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip papers. I used Basic Brown ink to create the background paper and also stamped the main image with it. I sponged around the Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink so that it wouldn't appear to stark. The brads and the buckle are from the old hodgepodge hardware. The middle color ribbon is the soft suede polka dot ribbon turned over. The card below I made about 5 minutes before my ladies showed up. It's a case of one I saw on one of the very talented LNS stamper's blogs a couple of nights ago. I'm not sure how close it is to hers...when you get to be my age the memory is a little questionable. I don't remember who and I apologize for not writing it down to share with you. This second card used the SU Beautiful Wings Embosslits die from the new mini. Hope you like the cards and, as usual, I appreciate your comments. Have a wonderful day!

These are both great! I love what you did with the monogram one. It is so handsome. The Soft Suede is such a great color. I haven't used it much myself yet but I really like what I've seen made with it. The butterfly card is really great too and is really enabling me...

Love the masculine card. Finally a card with ribbon that doesn't look too girly. Great job!

Great Masculine card and I love the ribbon treatment - still ribbon, but masculine! I usually use twine - but this looks really great!
